SMS Battle of the Books

UPDATE: The Friday October 20 meeting is CANCELLED, and tentatively rescheduled for Friday, November 17. Please check back here for any updates.

America's Battle of the Books, a fun competition held in many schools and districts nationwide each year, will be coming to Silverado Middle School this spring, sponsored by the Silverado Library! Students have an opportunity to read great books from an approved reading list and form teams to compete by answering questions about the books they have read, Family Feud style. Students who would like to participate must return a signed SMS Battle of the Books Registration Form to the library by Friday, September 29, 2017.

The first planning meeting will be held Friday, November 17, 2:30-3:00 in the library to meet with team mates and divide the book list among members. Each student will be responsible to read 6 books from the list by the Battle date in February 2018. Copies of the books will be available for checkout in the Silverado Library, and most titles can also be found in the public library. Join the fun!
