Reading Matters

"Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." — Groucho Marx

Silverado Library
Daily Hours:
Tuesday - Friday
7:30- 2:30
The Silverado Library is open daily during school hours as well as before and after school. Students may check out books and magazines or use a computer with a current Silverado ID. Students will also find copies of classroom texts and an extensive reference section available to help complete homework tasks while in the library.
Sign up for Library Study Club, an independent study program in the library after school that provides a quiet study environment and access to the Library resources.  Parent permission  is required; download the permission slip by clicking on the link above. Please review the Study Club Guidelines with your student before they begin to participate.
For big research projects, don’t forget to check out Grolier Online. This handy resource provides encyclopedia and magazine articles, relevant websites, images, maps and more for all your information needs! Students can access this helpful database at school and at home - pick up a Grolier Online bookmark from the library for the logon information required to access from home.
