    SMS Battle of the Books

    Welcome to the SMS Battle of the Books information page! America’s Battle of the Books is a fun competition held in many schools and districts nationwide each year. This spring, Silverado Middle School will be participating once again in this event, sponsored by the Silverado Library. Students have an opportunity to read great books from an approved middle school reading list and form teams to compete by answering questions about the books they have read, game show style. Registration for this year's competition is now closed.

    Silverado Library


    Daily Hours:

    Monday  7:30 - 2:15

    Tuesday - Friday  7:30 - 3:15




    The Silverado Library is open daily during school hours as well as before and after school. Students may check out books and magazines and use a computer or chrome book with a current Silverado ID. Students will also find copies of classroom texts and an extensive reference section available to help complete homework tasks while in the library.


    **BLAST -- Bears Library After School Time**


    BLAST provides a supervised study environment after school with the benefits of library services such as research materials, computer use, collaborative opportunities with other students and check out of materials. Students who come to the library after school will be asked to sign in and sign out but permission slips are not required.

    Monday  1:10 - 2:15
    Tuesday - Friday  2:06 - 3:15
