    SMS Battle of the Books

    America's Battle of the Books, a fun competition held in many schools and districts nationwide each year, is coming to Silverado Middle School once again this spring, sponsored by the Silverado Library! Students have an opportunity to read great books from an approved reading list and form teams to compete by answering questions about the books they have read, Family Feud style. Students who would like to participate must return a signed SMS Battle of the Books Registration Form to the library by Friday, Oct. 26, 2018. Watch this web page for ongoing information about preparations for the epic battle, upcoming in March 2018!

    Scholastic Book Fair

    Silverado’s annual Book Fair has been rescheduled to December 10-14! Find some great middle school titles and other must-have items at very reasonable prices, just in time for the holidays!  All purchases benefit the Silverado Library.

    Daily Hours:
    Monday  7:30 - 2:15
    Tuesday - Friday  7:30 - 3:15
    The Silverado Library is open daily during school hours as well as before and after school. Students may check out books and magazines and use a computer or chrome book with a current Silverado ID. Students will also find copies of classroom texts and an extensive reference section available to help complete homework tasks while in the library.


    **BLAST -- Bears Library After School Time**
    BLAST provides a supervised study environment after school with the benefits of library services such as research materials, computer use, collaborative opportunities with other students and check out of materials. Students who come to the library after school will be asked to sign in and sign out but permission slips are not required.
